September 8, 2023Our third webinar was held on Tuesday 15 August 2023 and featured Dr Greg Parker.
Greg is the Director of The Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative and Deputy-Director of Metro South Palliative Care Service, Metro South Health, Brisbane. He is part of a team that is involved in all aspects of adult palliative care clinical practice, including inpatient and home-based care.
This service is well established with over 20 years’ experience in care delivery to the local community. Greg is committed to effective, comprehensive and equitable palliative care service delivery focussed on whole person care. He is also involved in the service’s education, research and best practice service development arm, the Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative.
Greg is a senior lecturer with Griffith University and the University of Queensland and an advanced training supervisor with the Royal Australian College of Physicians.
Dr Parker’s presentation emphasized the importance of care that supports the entire person, connecting different elements of care for a holistic approach.
