Bishop Nelson Po formally blesses chapel at new Midland Private Hospital
October 13, 2026Catholic Health Australia’s (CHA) aged care senior executives will soon gather in one room with a shared purpose, to talk openly about the challenges facing aged care and to explore how the sector can move forward together. At a time of significant reform and change, the Forum offers leaders a valuable space to step back from day-to-day pressures and think strategically about the future of care.
Influential speakers from across the broader aged care and Catholic sectors will share their insights, including the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, MinterEllison and the Catholic Development Fund. Alongside these speakers, a member-led session will bring a provider lens directly to the program. Throughout the Forum, Catholic providers will bring experience from their own organisations, keeping discussions grounded in the realities shaping policy, practice and service delivery.
The program covers some of the most significant issues facing the aged care sector. Sessions will address regulation in the aged care system, Support at Home one year on, digital transformation, and the emerging trends, risks and strategic priorities shaping the sector’s future. Funding is also firmly on the agenda, with a session on opportunities in residential aged care.
Beyond the sessions themselves, the Forum is about building connection and collective strength. By bringing leaders together, it creates an opportunity to share lessons learned, test ideas, and work through common challenges. As demand for aged care continues to grow and expectations of quality and safety rise, this kind of collaboration is more valuable than ever.
By coming together, CHA members can help drive the thinking behind an aged care system that delivers dignity, quality and compassion for older Australians and those who care for them.
