July 4, 2024Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) has announced the appointment of Mike Christensen as the new Chair of the Board, effective 1 July 2024.
The leadership change aligns with the upcoming launch of an ambitious new strategic plan designed to drive growth, innovation, and excellence in care over the next three years.
Mike Christensen has been a valued member of the SCC (NSW & ACT) Board since 2021 and brings extensive experience in finance, property, and governance, having successfully chaired the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee and Property Committee.
His leadership will be instrumental as Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) embarks on this new strategic journey.
Outgoing Chair, Lawrie Hallinan, will be stepping down as Chair but remains a Director as part of SCC’s governance and succession plan.

Mr Christensen said he was honoured to take on the role of Chair at such an important time for the organisation.
