Mercy Health wins Gold
December 4, 2024Catholic Health Australia member organisation VMCH is preparing to celebrate a significant milestone in its highly-anticipated, world-class retirement living precinct, St. Clare, in Melbourne’s Kew.
The for-purpose organisation will join builder partner Hacer Group in a Topping Out Ceremony at the landmark Studley Park site on Thursday 5 December.
The occasion is a celebratory rite of construction, acknowledging the hard work of those who contributed and marking the completion of the frame of all four residential buildings at St. Clare. The $250m project, which began construction in October 2023, will offer a new standard of living for over 55s within its 103 premium apartments, with innovative architecture, expansive green spaces and breath-taking views.
St. Clare has broken all records for retirement off-plan sales, with over 65 per cent of the apartments– ranging in price from $1.3m to $4.7m – reserved one year out from completion.
VMCH Board Chairman Julien O’Connell AO, who is also a Director of the CHA Board, said retirement living projects like St. Clare helped VMCH to generate vital capital to deliver on its mission-based projects, such as affordable homes.
