Living the high life, thanks to Mercy Home Care

For Mercy Health Home Care client Robert Prudhoe, better known as ‘Boinga Bob’, there’s no place like home, or more specifically, his treehouse.

At 83 years old, the former engineer, poet, and yoga instructor resides in a remarkable treehouse he built himself in Warburton, Victoria. Drawing inspiration from his extensive global travels, his home features intricate timber construction and vibrant, hand-painted designs.

Despite facing significant health challenges including double hip surgery, multiple prostate procedures and ongoing heart issues, Boinga Bob continues to live safely and independently in the home he created.

Mercy Health Home Care provides essential support, enabling him to maintain his independence and quality of life. Through assistance with household tasks, garden maintenance and transport to medical appointments, Mercy Health ensures that Boinga Bob can remain in familiar surroundings while receiving the care he needs.
