CATHOLIC SECTOR THANKS ST VINCENT’S WORKERS FOR THEIR FRONTLINE COVID TESTING WORK
June 29, 2021Christopher Rigby, former Catholic Health Australia chief and founding CEO of Catholic Healthcare, was awarded an Order of Australia (AM) for service to health and aged care organisations. He was among a number of Catholics to be recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. Also acknowledged was Mercy Health surgeon Professor Peter Grant who received an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for services to gynaecological oncology.
Cabrini Health was well represented with Dr Heather Mack awarded an AM for significant service to ophthalmology, particularly to professional colleges; Dr Keith Mutimer an AM for significant service to plastic surgery, and to the international community; Dr David Hooke an OAM for service to nephrology, and to aviation medicine; and Professor Stephen Davis, an AM for distinguished service to medical education, to stroke research, and to the management of cerebrovascular disease.
