CATHOLIC HEALTHCARE UNEARTHS BURIED TREASURE TO BRING HOARDING RELIEF
December 19, 2021CHA SAYS ACCURATE REPORTING KEY TO MANAGING COVID
January 11, 2022A message from the Chair, the Hon John Watkins AM
After what has been a difficult year for many of us, I would like to take this time to thank you for your support of our sector’s ministry of healing.
We have weathered significant change this year – a pandemic that has taken some of our most vulnerable from us much too early and lockdowns that have kept us from our loved ones overseas, interstate and sometimes in our own neighbourhood; an aged care commission that has highlighted the challenges facing our sector and inspired a $17.7 billion government reform investment; as well as the difficulties of covid management and suspended elective surgeries in our hospitals.
I am pleased, however, that our ministry has proven itself resilient to these storms, an integral part of our communities and more than capable of serving those in need of our support.
I wish you all a restful break, a well-deserved opportunity to reflect on your good work this year, an opportunity to recharge for the challenges ahead and a very Merry Christmas.
God bless,
The Hon John Watkins AM
