Letter to the PM: Save our Community-Based Mental Health Services

Catholic Health Australia has joined another 71 healthcare organisations as signatories to an open letter, addressed to the Prime Minister, imploring the Australian Government to continue its funding of hundreds of community-based mental health services and programmes across Australia.

With grants due to end on 30 June 2015, the uncertainty surrounding the question of future financing may result in job losses and the termination of important programmes and services for the nations' mentally ill and their carers.

CHA submission to IHPA

Changes to Rehabilitation Coding Standard effective 1st July 2015

Together with the Australian Private Hospitals Association, Private Healthcare Australia and the Health Insurance Restricted Membership Association of Australia, CHA has recently lodged a submission to the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority concerning the new Australian Coding Standard (ACS) 2014 which comes into effect on 1 July 2015.

Proposal to allow dispensing to the community by section 94 pharmacies

A Catholic Health Australia (CHA) and Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA) joint letter to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Division, Department of Health, outlining the case for considering a change in policy to allow private hospitals with dispensaries approved under section 94 of the National Health Act to dispense PBS drugs to members of the community.
